The Lafayette Veterans Memorial Building has been a pillar in the Lamorinda community since 1925. For decades, we have been home to hundreds of parties, conferences, fundraisers, memorials, weddings, and just about anything you can dream up on our gorgeous property in the beautiful hills of Lafayette, Ca. 

We rely on event space rentals to fund maintenance and a lean operations team. We would love your generous donation to support our efforts to keep up the lovely landscaping and maintain the minimum bills necessary to prepare for reopening as soon as restrictions are lifted.

We are the Lafayette War Veterans, a 501C-19 nonprofit veterans service group which operates the Veterans Memorial Building in Lafayette, CA. Our building hosts community, business, public and personal events and provides a place for Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8063 and American Legion Post 517 to meet and plan service efforts. But it is much more than that. It is an engine whose operation provides money for aid to local veterans in need. That money goes to other local veterans service groups to provide aid that fills gaps not covered by the Veterans Affairs Department of the government. Examples are helping with rent, providing appliances and even used automobiles, transportation for those who cannot drive, and services such as guidance through the process of securing earned benefits such as educational loans or medical care. We pay our own expenses as individuals and volunteer our time to help with building operations.
