EVENTS MANAGER
Events Manager Job Description
EVENT MANAGEMENT REQUIREMENTS
- Leadership or management experience
- Excellent organizational skills, paying attention to detail
- Outstanding written and oral communications skills
- Ascertaining clients needs and services required
- Problem-solving and management through stressful situations
- A team player with leadership skills
- Hospitality management or related field preferred
- Computer savvy in Office, Excel, Word, Powerpoint etc.
- Flexibility with days and hours of work
- Ability to problem solve and make effective decisions relating to building security
- To carry out any other duties and tasks as may reasonably be required by the Building Director
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Review client agreement and floor plan before event to familiarize self with event
- Execution of events/ time line etc.
- Greeting client, taking care of hospitality needs, answering questions
- Ensure event is completed smoothly and step up to resolve any problems/concerns that might occur
- Supervise all staff (vendors, caterers etc.)
- Monitor Building equipment used for events such as (easels, screen, projector, audio-visual etc.)
- Room set-up/tear down according to calendar for upcoming events
- Come up with suggestions to client for event success
- Secure building at closing
- Open and prepare building for client/guest arrival
- Handling problems according to policies and procedures
- Checking out vendors/caterers at end of events to ensure proper procedures are upheld
- Other duties assigned
- Oversight of various operations of building
- Ability to problem solve and make effective decisions relating to building security
- To carry out any other duties and tasks as may reasonably be required by the Events Manager
BUILDING STAFF
Building Staff Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Familiarize yourself of client contract and floor plan for start and end times.
- Check/set floor plan according to client contract needs
- Keep bathrooms pick-up, stocked and cleaned throughout event
- Empty all garbage containers when full and reline with proper liners
- Watch for any spills that can cause accidents/harm to client or staff
- Take out trash and recyclables/wipe down outside of garbage cans
- Dry mop all floors and mop when needed or instructed
- Vacuum all carpets
- Clean all table tops with damp cloth and Lysol/ bleach mixture
- Break down of all chairs and tables
- Set up Floor plan for next event(s)
- Clean and stock bathrooms at end of all events i,e stock TP, towels, soap, seat covers, trash, mirrors
- Wipe glass doors /windows for fingerprints or smudges
- Set-up/Tear-down AV cart, podium, microphones and screen
- Be visible for client and their guests throughout event
- Start wash for cleaning linens or rags if needed
- Any other side work implanted by Management
BARTENDER
Bartender Job Description
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Preparing alcoholic or non-alcoholic beverages for bar and patrons
- Interacting with customers, taking orders
- Assessing bar customers’ needs and preferences and making recommendations
JOB BRIEF
We are looking for an enthusiastic bartender to provide an excellent guest drinking experience. Good bartenders will be able to create classic and innovative drinks exceeding customers’ needs and expectations. Compensation includes hourly wage and tips.
REQUIREMENTS
- Department of ABC Certificate
- Resume and proven working experience as a bartender
- Excellent knowledge of in mixing, garnishing and serving drinks
- Computer literacy
- Knowledge of a second language is a plus
- Positive attitude and excellent communication skills
- Ability to keep the bar organized, stocked and clean
