MOUNT DIABLO DETACHMENT 942
Mt. Diablo Detachment 942 was chartered 1 May 1996 after being founded approximately six months earlier by Marine veterans WIL WILCOX and LEE HALVERSON. Originally there were 21 Charter Members but over the years the Detachment has grown to about 125. Additionally, several original members later moved to east Contra Costa County and formed Delta Diablo Detachment 1155 in April 2004. That Detachment, headquartered in Brentwood, currently has approximately 80 members.
Those members who have demonstrated a commitment to the MCL through continued and active support of League and Detachment activities are eligible to be invited to membership in the MILITARY ORDER OF DEVIL DOGS, the Honor Society of the MCL. Diablo Dawgs Pound 47 of the MODD was founded in 2000 by current Pound Leader WIL WILCOX and currently has 30 members from both Detachments 942 and 1155.
